Land Jenseits der Wälder
For hundreds of years my ancestors have been living in a little village in Transylvania. More than a decade ago I just took my camera and flew back over the forest to photograph. There was no plan or concept, I just wanted to learn about myself. It felt like walking into thick fog. There are so many stories across generations this land is holding. Beautiful ones that I know and horrible ones that I can barely sense.
My long term project is not about unveiling pain, but appreciating all that has been felt or couldn‘t be felt. However my ancestors have met hardship and desaster during wars and oppression, they survived and did their best to live their lives. That’s why I am here and am who I am.
The fog won‘t disappear completely, just as this project will never be complete. So I might as well just chose this moment to start sharing it. I love that place at the verge of a cloud.

Architektur in Portraits
Die fotografische Arbeit ARCHITEKTUR IN PORTRAITS stellt Häuser anhand der durch sie verbundenen Menschen dar.
Mittels authentischer Portraits wird die soziale Dimension von Architektur sichtbar und spürbar gemacht. Die Qualität der Architektur steht in engem Zusammenhang mit der Qualität der Beziehungen zwischen den Menschen, die sie planen, schaffen und nutzen. Die Arbeit wendet sich den Menschen zu und betrachtet sie aus der Perspektive des Hauses, das sie verbindet.
Das Projekt wird anhand von Häusern aus der bisherigen Geschichte von Baumschlager Eberle Architekten umgesetzt. Während soziale Themen im Mittelpunkt ihres vielfach publizierten Werkes stehen, werden die Menschen nun konkret sichtbar. Es entsteht ein Bild des sozialen Abdrucks ihrer Arbeit.
